The Term Online Advertising That Is Important To Know The Beginner

For those of you who create a blog to make money, of course will always be dealing with the world of internet advertising (internet advertising). So it is important to understand the world of internet advertising, including understanding the terms used in it.

1. CPA (Cost per Action)
The term used in the model of affiliate marketing (affiliate marketing), where the merchant will pay to affiliates if referrals do something on the site of the merchant. Should not be limited to sales, but doing the action, such as subscribing to a newsletter, fill out surveys and so on.

2. CPS (Cost per Sale)

4. CR (Convertion Rate)
A term that indicates the percentage of the total number of visitors to a site that performs a certain action expected, either buy a product, subscribe via email and others. This data is usually used as a benchmark of the success of a campaign (ad campaigns).

5. CPC (Cost per Click)
If translated into a cost per click. This term refers to the advertising system which site owner (commonly referred to as publishers/publisher) will receive a payment calculated on the number of clicks done by site visitors.

On the other hand for the advertiser, will pay publishers for each click that occurs in their advertising, thus these models often also called PPC (Pay per Click).

So the CPC and PPC both are identical, the difference is from two different sides of the CPC from the publisher and the PPC advertiser.

6. CPM (Cost per Mille)
Mille, meaning in Latin is a thousand. So, it is generally taken to mean the CPM cost per thousand. This refers to the advertising system where publishers (publisher) will receive payments based on the calculations per thousand times the clickthrough rate page (impression). Google Adsense to translate them into Indonesian Language with the abbreviation CPM (cost per thousand) .

7. PPV (Pay per View)
Cost per view. This refers to the advertising model where advertisers put ads on their window pop-up, pop-under, or in-stream ads (such as the site will feature full-stream page one page, when you are on one page and then want to get out of that page, or when for example You click play a video, then played an indirect but you are first treated to a full page ads). This model is also often called CPV (Cost per View) if seen from the publisher.

8. CTR (Click Through Ratio)
Is the percentage of the total number of visitors then click on a link or advertisement. You can calculate the value of the CTR by dividing the number of clicks by the number of ad impressions against that page.

9. UV (Unique Visitor)
Alias Unique Visitors. It means a total of people who visit a site on a specific span of time, for example, daily, weekly, monthly and so on. The word ‘ unique ‘ is used because it is one person you can open a page of the site more than once.

10. PV (Page View)
Aka pageviews. Is the total number of pages the site displayed in a certain span of time. PV value will always be greater than the value of UV, as above, any person may open more than one page when you visit a site.
